James 4:1
[1]What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?
James talks about the conflicts that arises from your own inner senses. “Only hurting people, hurt others. when certain people suffer pain they transfer this pain to others.
Until you learn to have Jesus as Lord over your life, you keep getting hurt and you get more and more isolated.Philippians 3:12
[12]Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
[13]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
it’s imperative that the Lord God change you and let the word of God change, apply the word to your life and don’t let the word of God be common to you that it’s not effective in your life.
there’s an effort you need to make on your part. The word controls our thinking.
Philippians 3:14
[14]I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:17
[17]Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.
Be consistent and presereve just as those who have already done in their example. As Christian, you have to listen for Jesus. follow the pattern of the Lord in the word.
Don’t borrow and not pay back Deuteronomy 24:15 Psalm 34.
Philippians 3:18-19
[18]For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.
[19]Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.
These people they are slaves of their own mind, slaves of their own passion and stomach. Their god is their appetite, your God is who controls you. cut out anger, bitterness, and pain by circumcising your hearts with the word of God.
Wholesome. The scripture says to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

Yes it does!
Funny enough, it’s quite easy to just be a mere follower than a listener only and in the same vein, it’s more bequiting to be a doer of the word
