Some say; Once said, forever said. This philosophy can be based on their measure of the interpretations to the word of God.
Bible interpretations; how can one really discern the hidden truth of God’s word successfully?
2 Timothy 3:14-16 [14]”But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, [15]and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. [16]All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”
The scripture is a Greek word ‘Gramma’ which means content of the scriptures. All scriptures is taking about the whole/compilation of the words given by the word of God and is profitable.
1 Timothy 4:8 [8]For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. Profitable in the Greek is ‘ophelimos’ and it means advantageous for doctrine.
The scripture is profitable for doctrine, this will mean, you will have to labour on the scriptures to bring out profit. Before something is termed a doctrine, it must be evident in these spheres; the law of Moses, the Psalms, Jesus teaching and the Epistles.
Doctrine is “Didaskalia” in Greek meaning ‘learning and teaching’. The scriptures is advantageous for learning and teaching.
The scripture is profitable for reprove(evidence). God’s word corrects our experiences The word reprove Elegchos it means evidence.
If you want to give evidence about eternal life, salvation, heaven, things of the spirit, you will have to labour on the graphe (that is, the whole document). You will not just pick one Gramma and build something on it, you will use the whole book.
The scriptures is profitable for correction ‘Epanorthosis’ it means restored to a state of uprightness. We make things straight not by vision but by the scriptures which is able to transform into the image of Christ and shapen our character and mindset, that is why anything outside the scriptures should not be a thing.
Instructions is the word “Paideia” it means to train up a child or chastisement. Instructions in righteousness, Righteousness is Greek word ‘Dikaiosune’ and is the same word for justification. All scriptures is not for prayer point, it is a bad Culture in Christianity that when you read the Bible, you are looking for how it relates to you. The Bible is given to you is for you to know and explain salvation through faith in Christ.
Things to pay attention to when reading the Bible;
Gramma means searching out the meaning of the word. Language evolves over the years so we must search out the meaning of the word.
Business is ‘spoude’ it means to make haste. This means being diligent. It’s talking about ministry
Usage it talks about how this same word is used in the scripture. It gives a clearer meaning. 2 Peter 1:19-21[21]For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Context means reading the preceding verse and the succeeding verse and not just picking one verse and making a doctrine out of it. Rom 6:1
Content, means using the whole scripture to establish a fact.
Prophetia-the content & propheticus- the whole document
3 things you need to know about sex Sex is not a gesture of love. Even with sex nowadays people still go ahead to cheat, tongue lashing, abuse and do all manner of things. “If you truly love me, then show me?” Have heard countless ladies say so and many of them even after indulging in such still don’t end up convinced. Sex is not to show appreciation. Till this very moment they are countless arguments about this. They are many ways to show appreciations apart from sex, say thank you in nice words, greeting cards, being there for something as a friend apart from sex. Sex is not always the answer. Sexual immorality is not just a mere sin (something wrong/unacceptable), it’s deeper than that it’s a act conscious, and premeditated. Its like slapping your father in the face and saying it’s okay. If it’s okay then why is it done in secrecy?
Sex is a mind game. It starts from the mind if you keep having an image of naked people, that ignites the urge to arise. And you start hunting for anything available to ease the crave.
Sex weakens the hormones, the physical and spiritual strength of a man especially footballers as they exact a lot of energy during training. As sex involves a release of hormones which gradually weakens the body and the immune system becomes weak against diseases.
Ways to overcome sex
1. Intentionally make a sole decision/make up your mind not to do it. Wave off the thought when it comes across your mind. 2. Be open minded to inspirations and positive vibes and shun negative thoughts. 3. Giving yourself to meditate on the word of God, (feed your mind on the word of God, motivationals and inspirationals) 4. Avoid every and any opportunity to be alone with opposite sex and desist from anything contrary to what you set. Temptations will arise but don’t give in to it RESIST it, always remember your body is the temple of God!
This is a necessary evil to many victims who find themselves caught up in the act. To the world, it is a evil that must be eradicated by all means. The fact is abortion is a 50:50 way street, chances of survival is very slim. Is your life truly worth the risk?
To every pregnant lady contemplating this act this is for you;
I won’t religiously tell you that it’s against the will of God. I won’t tell you it’s a sin, because you know all that. But what I will tell what I would tell a sister and a loved one; You’re loved far beyond what you can imagine. So, if you can, please don’t go ahead with that decision to terminate the pregnancy.
What’s the worst that can happen, if you keep the child? Let’s weigh the cost, it’s not as expensive as you think, to keep the baby. Oh yes it’s not!
You can keep the child. You can give the child up for adoption after you delivery that is if you can’t feed an extra hand. Many woman out there like you will love and cherish that seed God wonderfully planted in you today. Thousands of women are childless out there, you could just be their answer to prayer.
The Fear! The Fear of what to tell your parents is nothing compared to the pain of abortion or untimely death. The Fear of facing the world is nothing compared with the torture of dying an unfulfilled life. Abortion is the most scariest thing I have ever seen in my whole. The ripping apart of your womb. The blood of an innocent child on your hands. It’s not a sight to behold!!!
The society? I always told my friend and I tell you that, people will always talk! Listen to me, they will talk! So let them talk, that’s why God gave them mouths to do so. If you can’t stand the pressure, move to somewhere else. Every pregnant woman needs all the love and support she can get. That includes even those women shamed by the society as, ‘wayward and lacks good home training’. Every friend that despises you in your day of trial may not actually be your friend.
Your parents? Your parents may be hurt, and that’s because they love you. They may be disappointed, it’s understandable. Your parents may threaten to disown you or even do so, it happens. You are not the first, nor will you be the last to experience such. But, one thing I know your parents will never want is to see you lifeless or dead tomorrow. So pick up yourself and stand tall. They may despise and reject you today, but tomorrow they will embrace you. This pregnancy may someday be your reason to thank God.
Writing has always been my safe place. A safe place is essential for a sound mental and productive life especially for us in Nigeria, that can’t afford the luxury of hiring a psychiatrist for a therapy session. In such cases finding your safe place is just the best remedy.
For some people a safe place is a particular location where they can air out their views without having to worry about what or who concurs to it.
For some, a safe place is an religious location where they can burst out their negativity, fears and worries and almost immediately embrace what they can’t change and heed to their inner soul.
While to some others, a safe place is a hobby they get to engage in whenever they are stressed out or anxious, so that they can offload their cares and reload their attitude in check.
Finding my feet in Life hasn’t been so rosy for me. I struggled with identity crisis for a long time. Then, I stumbled into WordPress, a blogging community where I learnt more about writing. From then on, I discovered my safe place ever since.
Writing became a safe place where I can fusion myself into every character and still maintain balance with the world. A place where my views are heard in a world of so many voices. It’s also a place where I can unwind, rewind and flow through time.
Find your safe place! I will capture some of my previous and current writing. Stay tuned! Follow me on this writing journey.
Living a purposeful life is life of direction. You ought to live a life of purpose. You’re not called to solve problems but your assignment defines your purpose.you are not called to be creative, you are called to be aligned. Life is precedented on the discovery of purpose. What are you designed for?
Ways that leads to purpose; Vision:
God weighs men by the assignment, God has auction them carry out. The more you align to fulfill purpose, the more relevant you are in the kingdom. Vision is simply the ability to see into purpose. A man that sees must be born of the spirit of God. John 3:3-6, 5:20, 17:3, Matthew 13:10-13, Ephesians 4:18.
What kind of vision do you have?
How to station yourself to see Habakkuk 2:1. Are you standing upon your watch? What have been called to?
Someone left the presence of God and built a city. But physical success is not measured by what a man attains. John 15:4.
In Acts 20:28, keep watch over yourselves and until you do so you can not reach the flock. Even while you are at home, are you in touch with your members, and cell members. Revelation 1:5, being a leader in the house of God is your first priority. you must magnify your office. you can’t afford to fail in your responsibility with God. you have to be excellent with the things God has entrusted to your care. excellence is a choice and you must choose it to produce excellent results. When you choose excellence, it motivates you.listen to pastor Chris message on the spirit of excellence. When you are excellent in your responsibility as a cell leader your results are undeniable.
Daniel 6:1-5, the Bible says, Daniel had an excellent spirit. This is because he was accountable to the king, so that the king didn’t suffer loss. The life of a leader, a cell leader to remain accountable. 1. Reliability- Daniel stood out because he was trustworthy 2. Stability. there’s no stability without reliability. Are you responsible enough to be reliable. 3. Discipline – be disciplined enough to know when and where to answer the call of duty. We are not christians with a prayer time, we are christians with a consistent prayer life. 4. Eliminate excuses from your life, because there’s no excuse that is good enough for lack of responsibility to duty. Eliminate excuses why you don’t hold cell meetings, eliminate excuses because excuses reduces a man’s standard. We only give reasons for our accomplishment. the consequences of failures is death. when you fail to attend to responsibilities, we play with the soul Jesus died for. Failure is not allowed. to fail with these people is expensive, no half measures, always tell yourself, God can count on me, my parents can count on me, my employer can count on me. 5. Be zealous to have ten people of your kind. be zealous to train others that will be excellent like you. 6. Don’t stop learning, don’t surround yourself with things that are not relevant. Don’t engage in a relationship that will drag you out of the will of God. there’s urgency of time. Jesus is coming, God is counting on us. 7. Don’t copy others. it is not everybody you admire. Be inspired by excellent people results. be inspired by great men. 8. Rise above your environment. rise above Dutsin-Ma. don’t allow your environment culture you. Be excellent 9. Be prayerful.
Tahila is the worship of God with instruments. Praising God through sounds are used also to express your worship. It is therefore important to gain mastery in a particular instrument. As seen in the life of David, David used the harp to cast out the demonic operation in the life of Saul. It is the groaning in the spirit that culminates the mystery of worship.
God is not interested in your complain but in complete praise. When you praise God, you raise him into action. God still deserves our praise even in our depression.
Though, Prayer and fasting moves things praise moves God. You are bigger than your problems, your God is far more bigger.
Sometimes, we may walk in unbelief many times and we fail to realize. Mark 11:23
First is the word of faith, you confess and confess
Second don’t doubt what you have said
Third the prayer of faith, believe that you receive
Then and only then you Shall have it.
Sometimes, things get worse before they get better. Just like a woman who a doctor tells that she is pregnant,
Don’t change your words, your words changes everything. When you speak don’t go back on Jesus said, you shall have what you say.
God’s principles
Joshua 1:6-9
God continually reminds Joshua to be strong and courageous before situations will confront you. Problems will keep coming that would question your faith and your God.
Fear and doubt may come but don’t voice it!
Voicing your fears you give it power over you. Don’t speak fear speak wins.
Say the victory, speak what the Lord says. Never be discouraged
Don’t expect to be treated nicely, only God treats you nicely. Get excited about your, get excited about what God is doing in you.
James 4:1 [1]What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? James talks about the conflicts that arises from your own inner senses. “Only hurting people, hurt others. when certain people suffer pain they transfer this pain to others. Until you learn to have Jesus as Lord over your life, you keep getting hurt and you get more and more isolated.Philippians 3:12 [12]Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. [13]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, it’s imperative that the Lord God change you and let the word of God change, apply the word to your life and don’t let the word of God be common to you that it’s not effective in your life. there’s an effort you need to make on your part. The word controls our thinking. Philippians 3:14 [14]I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:17 [17]Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. Be consistent and presereve just as those who have already done in their example. As Christian, you have to listen for Jesus. follow the pattern of the Lord in the word. Don’t borrow and not pay back Deuteronomy 24:15 Psalm 34. Philippians 3:18-19 [18]For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. [19]Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. These people they are slaves of their own mind, slaves of their own passion and stomach. Their god is their appetite, your God is who controls you. cut out anger, bitterness, and pain by circumcising your hearts with the word of God.
The 12 factors also known as Galtung and Ruge‟s news values list: 1- Frequency: An event that unfolds within a publication cycle of the news medium is more likely to be selected than a one that takes place over a long period of time. 2- Threshold: Events have to pass a threshold before being recorded at all; the greater the intensity (the more gruesome the murder or the more casualties in an accident), the greater the impact and the more likely it is to be selected. 3- Unambiguity: The more clearly an event can be understood and interpreted without multiple meanings, the more likely it is to be selected. 4- Meaningfulness: The culturally familiar is more likely to be selected. 5- Consonance: The news selector may be able to predict (due to experience) events that will be newsworthy, thus forming a “pre-image” of an event, which in turn increases its chances of becoming news. 6- Unexpectedness: Among events meaningful and/or consonant, the unexpected or rare event is more likely to be selected. 7- Continuity: An event already in the news has a good chance of remaining in the news (even if its impact has been reduced) because it has become familiar and easier to interpret. 8- Composition: An event may be included as news less because of its intrinsic news value than because it fits into the overall composition or balance of a newspaper or news broadcast. 9- Reference to elite nations: The actions of elite nations are seen as more consequential than the actions of other nations. 10- Reference to elite people: Again, the actions of elite people, likely to be famous, may be seen by news selectors as having more consequence than others, and news audiences may identify with them. 11- Reference to persons: News that can be presented in terms of individual people rather than abstractions is likely to be selected. 12- Reference to something negative: Bad events are generally unambiguous and newsworthy. (Galtung and Rouge 1965 cited in O‟Neill and Harcup , 2009, p.164-165)
These are the five insightful things that the word of God does for you. Affecting every area of your life and transforming you for the best. They are as follows;
1. The word is my life John 1:3,1:12, 2 cor 5:17, 1 peter 1:23, James 1:18, we are born(sons, first fruits, incorruptible) of the word of God. 2. The word builds you, by making progress Acts 20:32, 3. the word gives us our inheritance in Christ Jesus, that we get all that God has allowed to us. 4. The word cleanses us, purifies us, from this terrible/negative things in worlds we hear.Use the word against negative thoughts, and sin and evil of the world to maintain your right standing and Holiness with God. John 15:3 5. The word is food for your spirit and nourishes you. Matt 4:4

Also, Grice (1989), this definition will be largely defines the four maxims as below:
Quantity (give as much information as is required, and no more than is required)
Quality (do not say what is false or that for which you lack adequate evidence)
Relation (be relevant)
Manner (be clear, be orderly, and avoid ambiguity) (Ibid, p. 28).
These rules are instrumental to news formulation, and the content newsworthy. (Galtung and Rouge 1965 cited in O‟Neill and Harcup , 2009, p.164-165)
